Katerina Skafidas
SOPRANO | ACTRESS | VOICE LESSONS
Ms. Skafidas (Kat) is a Boston-based soprano from Syracuse, New York. She is musically active throughout the Northeast. Centralized in operatic and classical repertoire, she is also versed in early music, musical theater, contemporary styles, and often collaborates with living composers on new music.
In the Boston area, she regularly sings as a schola cantorum at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Milton, where she is also a co-director of music. She also engages professionally with the chamber choir, Carduus, and the evensong choir, Lux Arcana.
Kat is available upon request on contract for various musical services, including weddings and funerals, liturgical or secular. She actively takes inquiries for new music and collaborates with composers often.
Alongside her performing endeavors, she also teaches voice lessons, offering in-person instruction in the Boston area and online virtual lessons.
She teaches and sings with Whole Tone Music Academy, a collective of teaching artists in Somerville.
